It addresses all of the issues of the earlier version including:

Indefinite dangle (doesn't send to voicemail right away)
The ringer can be muted.
You can record a phone call.
I have not used the attendant. The vary is ok for me and there isn't any interference with WiFI A/B, microwave, or other radio tools.
So a lengthy method, so excellent. I reccomend it.

Pros:
1) If you need four strains, that is the only sport on the town. They used to make a 2 line one, but no longer.
2) There is a headset jack on the bottom unit, which could be very rare, and which is the rationale I used to be prepared to pay for this unit. And you might change amongst headset, handest and speaker telephone and now not utilizing a swaping noise - very atypical.
3) Excellent sound, and it is perfectly quiet going from one line to any different - no transition noise.
4) Unlike some, there will now not be any cross-talk between the 2 traces.

The original KX-TG4000 -- 2.4 ghz gadget worked really neatly. The drawback however was that our wireless router created an audible interference, static within the cordless devices.
So we "Upgraded" to the new Panasonic KX-TG4500 - 5.8 Ghz device. The new frequency works smartly with NO interference no static with our wi-fi router. The audio sign is quiet and static free on the cordless units.
The answering computing device on this upgraded unit is awful. It lowers off voice mail messages of callers. Typically it cuts off the final 2d or two of the phone message whereas they are leaving a cellphone quantity. After two substitute machines, a dozen support names, and a lot of attempts at resetting the VOX SENSITIVITY, and the AUTO DISCONNECT settings (settings that are definitely hidden and buried if it was oncen't for make stronger telling me the place these atmospheres have been, I would now not even learn about them.) I am giving up, resigning myself to living with a piece of S#%* telephone desktop that cuts off messages. I will buy a new one, a unique brand as soon as I can in finding one.
I would NOT suggest for any person to purchase this phone device. For the $1000 we've invested in the device for our residence place of job, I am certain there's a better product out there. But it's not the Panasonic KX-TG4500 nor the cordless devices KX-TGA450. Stay away from this one.
